I'm such a slacker with my blog lately! I have some pictures from this weekend in San Diego that I will get up this week, hopefully! But these are a few from out at WPPI!

So while in Vegas, I got a chance to take a few pictures one night! I was out with Ginger and Steph! We were total photog dorks that night! Let me tell you we were in full force! :) I purposly didnt bring a flash, to really test out the capablities of my new Mark III. I love some of the pictures! This is just a small sampling from the evening!

WPPI was so amazing! I had a fabulous time! I stayed with Ginger Murray and Stephanine Bloom, from the Twin Cities area, who are now two great friends!

This is a picture taken from the Blu Domain Blog, thier party was awesome! I headed over there with the uber amazing Victor Sizemore!

I am so excited to be heading out to Vegas for WPPI! Its going to be so great to network and learn all kinds of new ideas to bring back, perfect and offer my clients! I love the chance to learn new things and this is definatly the place! I will be out all next week, feel free to email me and I will try to get back to you asap!

So it is a sad day in Wisconsin. Yesterday Brett Favre officially retired. These are a few pictures from the last regular season home game that Jake and I went to. Not too bad with my little point and shoot. As Jake stated this should now be considered a state holiday, I wouldnt go quite that far, but he will be missed. The best thing about watching his games, was that you never knew what was going to happen. Anything at anytime, which is what made the games so exciting. Watching him play is unlike anyone else. The next few years will defiantly be an adjustment. But I highly doubt season tickets will become any more available than they are now. I need to get on that 30 year waiting list! :)

A couple of weeks ago Sam, Jakes baby cousin, had his one year birthday! I got to get some great shots of him and all his expressions! He was totally loving the balloons more than all his new toys! Go figure!

The other day I was able to host a little get together at my house, with Lindsey, and Carly, of Carly McCray Photography! We all needed new head shots of each other and were happy to oblige. Here are a few of my favorite of the day!

Ahhh.... The Woodford Reserve! This place was awesome! It was so beautiful and picturesque! The buildings there are the original ones built which were restored. When you enter the first building where they are making the bourbon your nose is immediately aware of the sense of alcohol. Kind of the feeling that you are drinking through your nose! Along with the smell of wet corn! Memories of working on the farm come back to my head! It was really neat to see the way they make everything and the storage was cool too!

And the final product! A wonderful tasting. Which I only got about two sips out of my little shot before turning into my amazingly clumsy self and tipping over my glass. And then getting that look from Jake that says, I just cant take you anywhere! :) Im defiantly not a bourbon drinker, but the place was awesome and defiantly worth the stop!

Ok, before I start with today, I have a funny story from dinner the other night. We were at a nicer seafood place and were looking over the menus when something caught my eye. Something I hadnt seen before. Jake didnt know either. So in my ohhh so Wisconsin accent asked. What exactly is a Hush Puppy? The waiter looked, paused, gave a bit of a chuckle, and then explained that it is basically a fried piece of dough. Now let me tell you. I thoroughly enjoyed these little buggers and hope to go home and find some place locally that will have them.

Today we got to buzz around the area and check out some local attractions. First stop was the Kentucky Horse Park! We had a great time, minus the fact that I lost my drivers license while there. Note to self: Dont keep your ID in your back pocket anymore! Luckily the great people at the park had found it in about 20 minutes! There werent as many horses there as I had hoped there would be, but what can I expect in February! We had a blast checking out the ones that were there and it is an absolutely beautiful place! We also went to the Woodford Reserve Distillery, pictures tomorrow on that.

I am currently in the great state of Kentucky! Jake had some business meetings here this week, so I decided to tag along. We got in later last night, so I only have a few shots in the car on the drive down! Which Jake was ohhh so impressed with me! But I get a free pass, because I just got the 1d Mark III and Im so stoked to take it with and get some great shots! So I will be posting everyday with our different adventures in between meetings and what not! Tonight we have no plans for V-Day, so we will have to see! Victor my friend, whos home state is KY, gave me a fabulous list of things to check out and places to eat! I cant wait to get started! :)

I got Jake one of these Garmin Nuvis for Christmas this last year! Wow, lets just say travel is so much easier!
